As promised yesterday, here are some after shots of my DIY rendering skills. Take that silly renderer who promised he could do the job on Saturday and then conveniently ignored all my calls and messages to confirm what time he was coming!
I still need to sand back some patches to even things up, but I think she will look beautiful once she's had a lick of paint.
Oh my gosh it looks PERFECT!!!
ReplyDeleteWhich colour shall you paint it? :)
Aww thanks for the nice comment. I'm having major issues choosing a paint colour... I'm thinking possibly a grey/purple or aubergine, or perhaps a more neutral taupe/brown. I have a pile of paint chips at home which I keep on looking over and getting myself more and more confused.
ReplyDeleteHowever, being the impetuous person that I am, I know that come hell or high water I will be painting these walls on or before Saturday at the very latest. I’ll probably end up at Bunnings and just choose whatever colour I happen to like at the time.
Wow, that's awesome that you did it yourself! Good on you! It looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought about aubergine... I think darker colours will make the courtyard look smaller, whereas lighter colours will open it up and feel bigger :)
I'm inclined to agree Kiki. I went to visit my folks last night and my Mum gave me a half can of paint she's used at her house. It's a light grey/purple type colour. I'll probably paint a small section tonight to see if I like it in the context of my house. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board!
ReplyDeleteWow! You really do work quickly! It looks like you did a fantastic job - so much neater than our efforts!
